A new place to call home on the web

Welcome to my new web site. This is a new project for me and something I致e been thinking about for a while. Its not going to be just about me but also about journalism. In some ways, its a dying art. All too often it seems its about money or big business or getting that byline or that big story. What is missed is the ordinary reporter just trying to do what they think is right. Sometimes they even put their lives on the line for what many of us see as our duty to the world. I値l pay homage to them whenever I can.

But this site is also about my thoughts. Anyone who knows me knows I like to put my opinion out there, even if its not always what people want to hear. Unfortunately, as an unbiased reporter (as much as I can) I知 not supposed to have opinions. Here, I知 free to have all the opinions I want. Check my blog where I値l be keeping a journal of my thoughts. It will range from thoughts on politics - from here in Grande Prairie to the international level - to religion and society and to things that just get my blood boiling.

I can稚 have a web site without having a little fun. Some of the stuff you値l find here are of a little more personal nature just to play around. I値l toss in a few photos and other tidbits of just stuff that I致e been doing or have seen. Hopefully it will be pretty enjoyable for everyone.

And keep in mind this is all a work in progress. Except for borrowing a few things, everything you will find has been designed and created by me. Persig taught me that the best way to learn is by doing and making mistakes, that way you値l figure it out for the next time. Call it Zen and the Art of Web Sites.
